About the Instructors:


Mike Bruce studied under the late Chuck Thompson. His B. S. Degree in Elementary Education has helped him shape his approach to teaching drums for the past 9 years. Michael has professionally performed in recording studios, for musical theatre and in numerous live situations. He currently performs with The VeLMAs and the John Savage Band. "I have created a drum clinic that I call 'A Conversation,' through which I verbally and musically talk to people."

Scott Stacey is an educator of music and percussion, serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Williams College and Schenectady County Community College, teaching percussion and directing the Percussion Ensembles.  He performs as a percussionist with the Albany Symphony Orchestra and is principal percussionist for the Berkshire Symphony Orchestra. Scott is an active chamber musician having appeared with the Adirondack Percussion Ensemble, Associated Solo Artists, Capitol Chamber Artists, St. Cecilia Chamber Orchestra.  He has performed on the recordings of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, and on the CD release of Poem.
